Q - The percentage of Americans on survey who say that substance abuse treatment should be covered by health insurance is :
On February 3, 2009 the Hazelton Foundation reported on a survey they did of 1,000 families and found that 71% agree that health insurance should cover the cost of treatment but most did not know if their own insurance would cover it.
Like most behavioral health benefits, people don't care about them until they, or a member of their family need them.
On survey, over 1/3 of people report that a close member of their family has had a substance abuse problem.
