Daily News article: 'STOPPED program raises awareness of youthful drivers'

Our own Maryann Bowman (far left), director of prevention, is pictured with Genesee County DMV Deputy Clerk Leslie Krajewski and Sheriff Gary T. Maha. This photo was submitted to The Daily News and published at 8:41 a.m. yesterday.

Maryann, Krajewski and Maha have teamed up to promote the STOPPED (Sheriffs Telling Our Parents & Promoting Educated Drivers) program in Genesee County. So far, according to Maha, over 50 parents of young drivers have signed up for the program.

GCASA and the Drug Free Communities Coalition are very excited about this opportunity to cooperate with parents, who comprise one of the most important sectors -- if not the most important -- in our community.

Go STOPPED! (How's that for a play on words?)
