Answer - C- screening, evaluation, comprehensive assessment. These terms are not synonomous and are used inappropriately all the time by lay people as well as substance abuse professionals. Screening is an activity to determine if there is a need for a further evaluation. An evaluation is performed to determine if there is a problem is present, and if the evaluation determines that there is abuse or dependency problem present, then a comprehensive assessment is done to collect information for a treatment plan.
